Reality Check

This is part two of the final assignment. I call this one reality check. The ice and the lights coming off of it are supposed to appear somewhat unnatural. The earth in the background indicates that this is not happening on earth. The shadow people indicate that the people here are not real only shadows of them. The phrase at the bottom right says: I live in my own little world, but it's okay they know me here. It is barely seen but it indicates that this is my world. This is also indicated by my profile on the right of the picture.

brainstorm

So this was the final project for my class. This is a composite image I created to represent the power of thought. I wanted to show that thought has no boundaries so I took out the walls and the ceiling to this room as well as the floor. I made the floor water to show that thought has depth associated with it. I left the rug and me sitting on it to show that anything is possible in the thought process. I wanted to show the energy associated in the whole process so I used a bright pink burst of light and pink lightning to indicate this. The stars show that the whole process is infinite in its possibilities and has no obvious end. The stars also indicate the normal thought process. The window and the fireplace indicate my specific, according to some, backwards thought process. The formulas show the complexity of the thoughts taking place.

When The Night Is Dark - Assignment 4

The purpose of this assignment as I understood it was to shoot under different lighting situations and see how these changed or altered the outcome of the picture. I shot under a variety of different situations for this assignment and achieved many different outcomes. One of the most dramatic of which was this picture of my car headlights. There are a number of different light sources which are visible, if not in view itself then in influence. The are a number of tungsten light sources visible in the background. We also have the whiter light of the headlights themselves. This whole scene was shot under a yellow street light. I chose to have movement in the picture for a number of reasons. One was it is an interesting contrast to the car and its stability and lack of motion. It also reflects somewhat on my indecision as far as deciding if I wanted to be in the picture or not. The lighting overall provided an yellow cast to the picture itself.

Assignment 5

This assignment was very interesting for me. The photograph I chose had four wrinkles in the picture. Those wrinkles were spot healed for the most part. With the one in the sky and the snow I used the patch tool after spot healing. I also had to spot heal an area above the house which was wrinkled with the spot healing brush. One of the wrinkles seemed to somewhat follow a road which meant I had to redraw the road using spot healing. I also had a wrinkled corner and two discolored edges. I spot healed the corner as well as the edges. After that I also cropped the picture to make it more symmetrical.

Smoke is in the air

With the amount of smoke that a good fire will put into the air you can get a pretty nice sunset

Did you have a question?

Oh, you forgot it, that's okay.

Maybe He's Onto Something

I had the chance to watch the ducks this morning as I was photographing them. This little guy sparked my interest. The other ducks were busy foraging in the grass and other areas around the duck pond for food. Then they went down to the water to swim a little bit. They would also use their head to splash water onto their feathers. After this they would get out of the water and would pluck unnecessary feathers out. They did this in groups. However, this little guy sat off to the side and just floated in the water. While all the other ducks went about their daily business this guy took the time to just relax, float, and enjoy the scenery. My point is that maybe we need to be more like him and take some time to just enjoy whats around us.
